Sarcastro grew up listening to a lot of the music his parents listened to, not being able to fall asleep without a Pink Floyd or Janis Joplin tape playing in the background. Listening to a lot of punk, metal and industrial music throughout much of his teen years, he was introduced to drum and bass in the late 90's when he first heard Photek's Modus Operandi played at a party.
Instantly falling in love with the sound, he started listening to drum and bass for hours daily and began buying bigger and bigger speakers to get his fix. In 2000, he purchased some software and began making his own tunes and mashups, which he still does to this day.
Sarcastro picked up a set of turntables a couple of years ago and has been rockin' the decks since, playing everything from dirty tech and liquid funk to jump-up and ragga jungle.
MC Caesar has been heavily involved in the drum and bass scene for the last 7 years and has developed from an attendee, to an up and coming performer and finally to a promoter and rave organizer.
He began developing his lyrical style at the age of 14, and since then it has been a non-stop grind. Performing with artists such as Erb n' Dub, Marcus Visionary, Mutt, Sixteen Armed Jack, and Gremlinz among many others he has developed a style of MCing that has brought him increased exposure in both his hometown of Toronto as well as his new home in Ottawa, Canada. Repping Konkrete Jungle 613, Scartown Massive, and Firestorm Management, this is one lyricist to watch in the years to come.
Catch this Canadian duo Thursday nights from 12AM-2AM GMT (7PM-9PM EST) along with frequent special guests.
