Skepta feat. Suggs & Chase & Status – Innocent Smile | UK Rap / Electronic

Skepta brings together three very different parts of British music culture on “Innocent Smile,” joining forces with Chase & Status and Madness frontman Suggs. Released September 18, 2026, the track blends Skepta’s UK rap with electronic production and a distinctly rave-inspired edge.

Produced by Skepta and Chase & Status, the track moves between rap and electronic influences, with the production drawing on the energy of UK rave and breakbeat culture. Suggs adds another unmistakably British voice to the record, giving the collaboration an unexpected crossover feel.

“Innocent Smile” has also been years in the making, with Skepta revealing that he and Suggs first recorded an early version around six years ago before the track continued to evolve into its current form.

The release arrives alongside a London-shot music video directed by Aidan Zamiri, using cinematic visuals and references to British culture of the 2000s. It also serves as another preview of Skepta’s forthcoming album The Fork and Knife.
